Installation of Ember on Windows and Linux should be pretty straight forward. Nonetheless, here are some tips on getting Ember installed on Linux.
You need the latest Ember executable as found on the Ember page.
Ember comes prepackaged as an executable. Everything is self contained and you don't need to install any support code yourself before running the Ember installation executable. However, on many Linux distributions you cannot execute a file directly (due to security reasons). You first need to enable execution of it. Here's a description of how's that done in Ubuntu.
