Base concepts

Magic is a kind of wave or wind which spread across the world. Its presence can be sensed to some extent by any living creature, but only gifted individuals can make use of it. Magic is chaotic, dangerous and unpredictible - but there are ways to shape it. The magic wave interacts with every material thing altering it somehow, but the this interaction is mutual - wave is also changed. Some inteligent races even discovered how to manipulate magic winds according to their needs - this is how magic circles, monoliths and menhirs were created.
